Knoxville News from WBIR app good for

Ad placement is a little frustrating & when returning to home page after an article the switch up can be annoying but still a must have daily app

Its great being able to quickly check the weather or traffic from my phone.

Notifications are received quickly. More than once I have questioned the "newsworthiness" of a notification. Other than that, I have been pleased with the app.

No matter what I hear or see or am told, I always check it out on my WBIR, channel 10 app. Ive been loyal to this crew since my family got our first TV in the 50s. I especially like the pop up breaking news. Ask yourself who knows most accurate local weather info. If you said anything other than WBIR, you would be wrong!

The July 4th version of this app will not allow me to open the app. Very frustrating. Have tried turning off phone and killing the app, neither works.

I use this app every day. It is my favorite for local news. It is smooth and easy to negotiate.

Some bad moments

This app needs an update have been trying to read an article and it just shuts off. Repeatedly. Very Frustrating.

After last update, long time to load, first page does not scroll smooth and app always is crashing.

Have had the app since earlier versions. Current version is slow to load and crashes often. Do not like the new format to get to the news. Also HATE the fact that they post "news" in the alerts notification. Should be for weather emergencies, Amber Alerts and traffic emergencies only in my opinion. If I want a sports score, I will look at the news or sports sections. Streaming works intermittently on iphone. - Update - Still slow to load and crashes often. Alarm goes off, crash, receive text, crash. UpDate again: 40 second load time in wifi in this day and age is nuts. Still slow to load, call-crash, text-crash. And getting worse with news. 4 news stories nationally? Really? That is all? Time to delete and use google news and yahoo news and the local paper. Might be faster.

WBIR doesnt update news as often as other stations, and the weather varies between the different places it can be checked in the app. Its OK but could be much better and more current.

The app takes forever to actually load data. Once it does load, I have to navigate to another page within the app to actually get the news. The previous version was much better and a result have started looking for news via a different local stations app.

It is a good update, however, I liked the weather in the previous version the best. Also, would like to see the barometric pressure listed. In fact, with the elaborate update, I am surprised it would not be listed.
